Wishing you a Merry Christmas
From All The Kitty Carers
At Cooinda Cat Resort
All the Cats staying with us today are having a wonderful day opening their presents with the kitty carers.
Santa Paws knows the cats stayed at Cooinda Cat Resort last night and has made a special trip to make sure all the kitties receive their Christmas presents on Christmas Day.
When travelling with cats in the car, you need to take into consideration the weather you will be travelling in - both your present situation and the likely temperature of your destination. If it is likely to be very hot, you can put a frozen water bottle in the carry cage wrapped in a towel for something cool for the cat to lean up against. If it is going to be cold then make sure the carrier is in a draft-free place in your car while still allowing good air flow.
Check the cat Regularly, especially if the weather is hot - don't underestimate how rapidly the temperature inside a car can rise - bear this in mind if you stop for a refreshment break and leave the cat in the car.
Place the carry cage where it will be secure if you have to brake suddenly, but where it has a good air flow - ie, not underneath lots of other luggage in the back of the car.
Heatstroke can be a Killer!
We were so excited last year to begin our new Cat of the Month! It was so fun to do and we loved telling you all about each guest chosen for Cat of the Month in 2013. Now it's time for more fun with our Cats of the Month for 2014!
If you don't know what this means.... It means each month, we will be selecting one of our purrrfect guests to learn more about their breed, personality, and the things they like to do during their stay. We will also be sharing some gorgeous stories, photos and videos of them!
Our Cat of the Month for December is Taj. Taj is a very chatty Siamese who loves lots of interaction and could talk the leg of a chair. He is 8 years of age and gives great cuddles. He lvoes spending his days funning around outdoors but is never shy to a chat with strangers.
Tune in every week for the month of December to keep up to date with Taj's adventures at Cooinda Cat Resort.
My Name is Fluffy and I am 19 years of age. That's 19 years of human interaction and pampering I have had so far and I still LOVE IT!
I am a Domestic Short Hair Tortie and I have been enjoying my holiday at Cooinda Cat Resort for over a month. It is amazing with all the interaction I have been receiving from the Kitty Carers. They give me constant pats and cuddles and more pats and more pats again. I love them. I have been staying in the Geriatric area for us Golden oldies and we have a 4 post scratching post, a double hammock bed, access outdoors and also a huge window to sit on if we don't feel like going outdoors. However, being outdoors is something I choose to do every day.
I enjoy being outdoors in my tunnels and towers where I can climb up the climbers and relax on the hammock beds. There is nothing better than spending the afternoon outside in a hammock... wouldn't you agree? Oh well maybe except for more pats. *Big Smiley Face*
I have a nice range of foods every day so I never get bored with my choices. And my servers are magnificent... they serve me my food right where I want it and then give me smooches before departing. They are awesome.
My favorite experience would have to be a full pampered day in the Luxury Funky Paw Cabins. I got to play a star for a day, with paparazzi and everything. It was the most amazing day as I love all the attention. I had millions of photos taken of me for their Cat of the Month 2015 Charity Calendars. They laid down with me and gave me lots of pats and snuggles, they played outdoors with me, running up and down the exercise area. I got to relax on Kitty camp chairs and cane beds. I chilled indoors watching TV, and got to climb the scratching post to the 2nd story. It was utterly amazing.
