With the qualities of cleanliness, affection, patience, dignity, and courage that cats have, how many of us, I ask you, would be capable of becoming cats?

Our Cat of the Month, Wilmore Biscuit is very excited to share his Holiday Diary with you from his luxurious stay at Cooinda Cat Resort.
Now... where shall I start. I could tell you about all the cuddles I get every day... and I can tell you about the gourmet food I indulge every day, but how about I start from when I arrived at Cooinda Cat Resort for my holiday.
When I arrived at Cooinda Cat Resort's reception area, I was very excited to see the kitty carers and I could just TELL that they were ecstatic to see me to. They asked my parents all kinds of questions to make sure that I was going to have the very best holiday I could possibly have.
I was escorted to my room via the weigh station by a lovely lady who insisted on weighing me (*eye roll*). When I arrived at my room, it was setup just the way I like it. It amazes me how they remember my specific needs every time. They never miss a beat!
I was given a routine check over by the very attentive kitty carer who also gave mini biscuit a routine check over as well. By the way, Mini Biscuit is my little right hand man... OK technically he is a soft toy kitten... but he is mine none the less. After cuddles and pats from all the girls we were left to explore our room together and then we snuggled up under the over head heat lamp for a nap as we were all tuckered out from all the excitement of checking in.
We have the same routine every day from waking up in the morning and getting cuddles from the kitty carers, to then adventuring outdoors with mini biscuit to play games out in the tunnels and towers. After Mini Biscuit and I have had our fun, and even a lay down on the hammocks outdoors together, we both come back inside and I clean Mini Biscuit before putting him to bed and tucking him in while I enjoy lots more cuddles.
What else can I say... I get totally Pampered and LOVE IT!!!
P.S. I love the Poem the anonymous kitty carer created of me.
The anatomy of a cat is specific to that of a predator, from their sight, hearing and sense of touch and smell. One example: Excellent depth perception and distance judgement are needed for a hunter to stalk prey, and a cat's forward-faceing eyes and binocular vision facilitate this. Conversely, prey - such as birds - typically have eyes at the side of their heads. They don't need to turn their heads to change their visual relationship to something, and this peripheral vision helps them spot danger.
Although the exact timeline of cat domestication remains uncertain, approximate dates are generally agreed upon.
8000 BC: Archaeological evidence of the domestication of cats is found in a grave on the island of Cyprus.
3500 BC: Domestication of the African wild cat in Egypt.
900 BC: Cats imported from Egypt arrive in Italy.
500 BC: Domestic cat is established in China
300 BC: Phoenician traders bring cats to India.
100 BC: Cats fall out of favour in Egypt as they become increasingly widespread.
AD 600: Buddhist monks introduce the cat to Japan
AD 1620: Cats are introduced to North America, traveling there with pilgrims on the Mayflower and other ships.
AD 1749: Colonists of the New World send for cats from Europe to counter the problems brought by infestation of rats.
AD 1758: Method of Zoological classifaction is established and the domestic cat is given the binomial name Felis catus.
AD 1866: The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) is formed, based on the RoyalSociety for the prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) in London.
AD 1871: The first cat show is held at Crystal Palace in London.
AD 1872: The Expressions of Emotion in Man and Animals by Charles Darwin is published, in which he examines deline emotions and body language.
AD 1895: First American cat show held at Madison Square Garden in new York.
AD 1900s: Scientist Louis Pasteur discovers microbe that reveals the hygenic habits of the cat.
AD 1910: The Governing Council of the Cat Fancy (GCCF) is formed.
AD 1946: Spaying of cats is encouraged through the charity, Cats Protection.
AD 1953: The Governing Council of the Cat Fancy holds its first cat show.
Now that is very interesting wouldn't you think. Look at how much we have learned about cats since 8000 BC.... and we are still learning.

Wilmore Biscuit has a little kitty friend the Kitty carers call 'Mini Biscuit'. Mini Biscuit is a ginger tabby kitten toy. He is the same colour as Wilmore Biscuit and they are always together.
Wilmore Biscuit's mini right hand man, "Mini Biscuit" gets taken for adventures outdoors and they roll around playing on the hammock beds or on the ground in the dirt, they even wait together at their door for breakfast. At the end of the day, Wilmore Biscuit carries "Mini Biscuit" back indoors for their afternoon bath.
The afternoon bath consists of Wilmore Biscuit grooming 'mini biscuit' until his all clean and then tucks him into bed before grooming himself. They then snuggle up together for the night with Wilmore Biscuit pulling "Mini Biscuit" in close and tight.
Wilmore Biscuit makes a Great Dad!
P.S. When "Mini Biscuit" is missing, Wilmore Biscuit searches everywhere for him and doesn't stop looking until he is found. Wilmore Biscuit's parents have 2 "Mini Biscuits", so they can wash one while he plays with the other, having 2 ensures that Wilmore Biscuit doesn't get upset without his "Mini Biscuit" around for company.
They are Soooo Cute!!!
Some people say man is the most dangerous animal on the planet. Obviously those people have never met an angry cat.

Someone came across this Cat Blog the other day and told us to have a look as it was quite entertaining. So we did... and it made us laugh as we could imagine this cat exactly doing all the things he says he has done. Below is a summary of the first day of the blog with a link to the full blog. We hope you enjoy this.
Okay...I'm full figured. I love to eat. I can't help it. I also like to watch TV, sleep, enjoy the sunshine and watch the neighbors. Not a real active lifestyle but it works for me. My name is "Sammy" and I don't know what that means. I am often called other names as well such as "Sam Wham", "Buddy Boy", "Buddy", and "Pain in the Rear". I like to be petted but only in certain spots. Touch me in the wrong spot and something inside me just snaps and I might just bite you. Later, I am sort of sorry. Not that I would tell anyone so...
