Have a friend take you apart and then try to reassemble you from memory.
Our Cat of the Month, Alan would love to share his Holiday Diary with you. He is a bit over excited to let everyone know how he spent his holiday retreat at Cooinda Cat Resort.
My fantastic mornings started as soon as the kitty carers walk in the door. I would get cuddles off each and every one of them. Followed by a facial. Now, my facial consisted on getting my eyes done. I have a breed issue of having runny eyes. I've been told that most Burmese always have runny eyes when they wake up in the morning or even some 'sleep' in them. Sooo my facial consists of making sure my eyes and nicely cleaned and looking beautiful I have to be able to woo the customers that visit me outdoors in my exercise yard and I can't do that if I have a bit of sleep in them. Its not as appealing.
After my facial I get a quick dart around the Fernery Internal Gardens, before returning to my room to venture outdoors. I enjoy running a muck first thing in the morning which consists of being in my outdoor exercise yard and darting all the way to the top of the scratching post, jumping down to the bench, over to the hammock, rolling around and then running back indoors where a new kitty carer meets me for a cuddle.
I enjoy my breakfast which is something new and fresh every day. I love having a variety for my breakfast, it's where I obtain all my energy from that I will expend in the afternoon.
Now some Afternoons I spend in the play gym where I have hammocks, climbers, scratching posts and Cubbys to adventure in or just chill out stretching across the hammock bed. Other afternoons I venture around in the Fernery Gardens where I enjoy running through the gardens, along the fish ponds, and up and down the scratching posts. I really enjoy trying to get these funny looking cats (I think the kitty carers called them a hippo, I've never heard of that Cat Breed, but anyway) I love bopping them on the head and then running away. They never want to play though. I also love sneaking up on the Kitty Carers and clinging onto their feet before running away then doing it again.
If you were to ask my what my all time favorite activity is, it would be a hard answer. But it would have to be playing with that silly Yellow Feather Toy with the kitty carers that I just can't manage to destroy. It keeps coming back every day even when I catch it and swear its definitely not moving. My Second Most Favorite would have to be cuddles. I could go on and on and on and on about all the next Most Favorite stuff I love to do or love about this resort but we don't have that much time.
Oh will you look at the time, I have to go run a muck again. Happy Holidays everyone!

Okay, cats will never bring you pictures they've drawn in school, but they may give you a dead mouse. What parent could resist that gift?

Alan the Burmese loves to pretend he is a Wild Cat Stalking his prey. He loves stalking the kitty carers walking around the Fernery Internal Gardens. He will hide in the grasses and his bum wiggles just before he pounces. He wraps his paws around their legs and then quickly lets go, runs a little away (about a half meter), and then rolls over onto his back. It's a little like his in hysterics.
Alan is Extremely Playful. He also really enjoys the game - Hippo Bopping. We have 2 ceramic hippos in the gardens and Alan loves to sneak up on them and then bops them on the head and runs off. He does this all the time. It is hilarious because he doesnt just run a small distance and then roll over like he does with the kitty carers... He runs a mile.
Cats are the ultimate narcissists. You can tell this by all the time they spend on personal grooming. Dogs aren't like this. A dog's idea of personal grooming is to roll in a dead fish.

Do you have a furball family? Most of us treat our cats as if they were our kids. Some of us don't have human cats, we have fur kids. And some of us have human kids that have now moved out of home and we miss them so we get more fur babies.
There is nothing like a house full of furry family members. You don't feel along anymore, you have attention and communication when you want. If your getting yelled at, you can lock the responsible fur party in the laundry without getting in trouble for a couple of hours. However sometimes they can hold a grudge, so just be cautious letting them back out.
Most of us have seen "Cats and Dogs" the movie. When we look at some of our cats expressions we really do feel like they are trying to take over the world... mwahahaha!
